🌞🏝️ Are you planning an unforgettable vacation in sunny Tenerife? Make sure that your medicine cabinet contains the necessary items that will ensure a peaceful and safe trip for the whole family. Here are our recommendations:
- Painkillers and antipyretics (and those for food poisoning) – paracetamol or ibuprofen are useful in the event of sudden ailments, although you can easily buy them in any pharmacy.
- Plasters and dressings – waterproof plasters are great for minor cuts or blisters.
- A cream with a UV filter is a MUST – a high factor to protect children’s delicate skin from the sun.
- Gel or cream for burns – aloe vera or other soothing preparations can be beneficial.
- Medicines for motion sickness – useful if you plan to travel around the island by car or go on a cruise.
- Special children’s medicines – if your children are taking any special medicines, make sure you have an adequate supply.
- If you are planning to do some sightseeing, tweezers may also be useful – in Tenerife there are prickly pears, the small thorns of which can be difficult to remove with your fingers.
💨 But don’t stress, you can easily buy medicines, creams and hygiene products on site.
And what about insect bite preparations – they may not be useful. Mosquitoes and other insects are very rare on the island.
Remember that a well-stocked first aid kit is the basis for a successful and safe holiday. If you have any doubts, it is always worth consulting a pharmacist or doctor before leaving.
