Beach with a Baby in Tenerife – Paradise or Parental Mission?
Tenerife sounds like a dream – sunshine, sea, warm sand. But when you’re heading to the beach with a baby or toddler… it’s a whole different game.
👣 First of all: shoes matter.
Forget flip-flops. Volcanic sand gets scorching hot and can be rough. Water shoes or strapped sandals will save your feet (and theirs).
🌊 Second: the waves don’t play.
Just because it looks calm, doesn’t mean it is. Choose beaches with shallow entry and calm waters – and keep your eyes on the sea, always.
☀️ Third: the sun in Tenerife is no joke.
High SPF, a wide-brim hat, and shade breaks are non-negotiable. Even on cloudy days, the UV index is high.
🎒 Don’t forget to pack:
- sunblock & water
- wet wipes & dry clothes
- favorite toy
- snacks
- beach umbrella or tent
Pro tip: You don’t need to carry everything from home. Rent baby gear (strollers, beach gear, even toys!) locally – lighter luggage, less stress.
